God made ducks & chickens
Say "Today we are going to learn about two kinds of feathered animals -- chickens and ducks. God made both chickens and ducks. Let’s talk about what these animals say. What does a duck say? Quack Quack. What does a baby chickie say? Cheep cheep. How about a mama chicken, called a hen? She clucks. How about a daddy chicken called a rooster? Cock-a-doodle-doo. Thank you, God, for making these wonderful feathery animals that we can love and enjoy. (Show a picture or video of a duck & chicken to your dbKids).

Does God still love me?
In the parable of the loving father in Luke 15, in the younger son’s mind, his sin was so great he was not worthy to be called a son in his father’s house anymore. The son thought the love of His father had to be earned. He greatly misunderstood his father’s love. The culture around us may tell us that we are valuable or worthy because of what we do, how hard we work, or what we try to earn. But God views us very differently. There is never anything we can do to earn God’s love or forgiveness. Yet, he chooses to love us all the same.
