NURSERY

ALL CREATURES GREAT & SMALL SERIES

God made lions & tigers

Today we are learning about two large type of cats! One is a sleek, strong animal and the daddy has a mane (hair down his head). The other is an even larger animal with stripes and big whiskers. The lion is called the king of beasts, and is mentioned many times in the Bible. Jesus Himself is called the Lion of Judah, pointing to His greatness, power, and kingship. The tiger is even bigger than the lion, and it has brown or black stripes on yellow fur. Lions and tigers love to hunt. They love to hide in the tall grass and sneak around. Both lions and tigers roar; can you roar? They like to roar, and what do our cats say that live in our homes? “Meow!”

Well, big or small, roaring or purring, cats like to keep themselves clean and their hair brushed, they love to slink, pounce, and play, and they are independent. And did you know that cats ears can rotate, and their long whiskers help them find their way through small places? Thank you God for making the small little kitty cat and the huge lion and tiger. They are all amazing in their own way.

FAITH REFINED, IDENTITY SERIES:

I am significant.

Even though you were dead in your sin, God made you alive because of His great love for you. God looked at you in your sin and said you are significant and wanted. Now God saved us from sin, but He also saved us to live for Him. God cares about us and has created us for good works. As believers, we get to join in God’s mission of sharing this good news with others. God convicts people of sin and leads them to repentance in faith. In His grace, He allows us to be part of the process by proclaiming His truth to others. God desires for us to do good works so that other people can see Him working in our lives.
