The story of Peter’s revelation in Acts 10 reveals a core tenet in the gospel of Jesus Christ: God saves all who come to faith in His Son, regardless of their past, cultural differences, or their upbringings.

Peter’s miracles in Acts 9 showcase the power of the Holy Spirit at work within the early church. Peter did not perform them to wow the crowd or even illustrate his own strength, but rather, he met people’s needs as a means of demonstrating God’s power at work.

The story of the Ethiopian official’s baptism began with angel giving a command to Philip, an apostle of Jesus Christ.

Acts 6 & 7 details the story of Stephen, the first follower of Jesus martyred for his unwavering boldness in proclaiming Jesus as Lord.

Acts 6 relays a time when a complaint within the church let to an opportunity for delegation and good deeds.

In Acts 5, we find the apostles performing many signs and wonders through the power and grace they received through the Holy Spirit

In Acts 4, we encounter Peters Spirit-led boldness and the religious leaders inability the gospel’s power at work. Despite the danger they faced, the church remained steadfast.

Peter’s healing and preaching in Acts 3 reveled the Holy Spirit’s power at work. Through both words and deed, Peter and John committed to all -encompassing mission of the gospel.

The later portions of Acts 2 relay the work of the Holy Spirit’s transformation work within not only the Apostle Peter’s life but also in the lives thousands new believers in Jerusalem.

Today’s passage from Galatians illustrates the Holy Spirit’s power in Christ followers’ lives. Written to the apostle Paul to the non-jewish congregation in Galatia, this letter outlines the importance of pursuing righteousness by faith as opposed to the works of the flesh.

In Acts 2, we find the fulfillment of Jesus’ promise from Acts 1:8. Jesus’ followers devoted themselves to one another and to Hid mission, and we can observe their unity in the first verse of this passage. They experienced the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the latter half of Acts 1, Jesus’ eleven disciples were at a turning point in their ministry. Jesus had ascended to heaven, and tHis followers recognized the gap Judas left. They came together, united in mission and motive as they waited for the promised Holy Spirit.

This story is found in the first chapter of the book of Acts. Although Jesus’ time on earth was coming to an end, He promised to leave His followers with a special Helper and Guide. God fulfilled His promise to remain with us, and through the gift of the Holy Spirit, He also provided the power to accomplish the mission of His Church.

Repentance is an internal and external turning from sin and movement toward God. Matthew 3 speaks about repentance and shares that evidence can be seen of genuine repentance. What begins in the heart will certainly impact the life of the believer.

This weekend we look at the Book of Zephaniah, which serves as a stern rebuke of God's people and a warning regarding a failure to return to Him faithfully. It also serves as a reminder of God's expectation of holiness and a description of what that looks like when faithfully lived out among God's people.

This week, we read about God’s messenger Isaiah who would share a strong message to remind His people of the consequences if they did not turn from their sinful ways.

This weekend we start a new unit with King Joash. Joash became king at age of seven. One incredible detail about King Joash is how he is described in 2 Kings 12:2: "Throughout the time the priest Jehoiada instructed him, Joash did what was right in the LORD's sight.”

This 5th Sunday, our littlest dbKids will be learning about elephants & giraffes, ages 3 through 4th grade will be enjoying worship, fellowship & review, and our 2nd service 5th graders will be discussing how we as believers have the gift of the Holy Spirit.
