PEER SERVANT LEADER PROGRAM

WHAT ARE PEER SERVANT LEADERS?

Peer Servant Leaders (PSLs) are DBKids who have a heart to help and serve others. We believe God blesses us each of us with passions and gifts— we want to partner with parents & guardians to help foster those gifts and passions in their children.

PSLs meet regularly in the Fall & Spring, have opportunities for discipleship, fellowship, and volunteering in various capacities which suit their skills & interests.

REQUIREMENTS:

The PSL program may not fit every DBKid, and that’s OK! God calls everyone to different roles, not everyone has a heart for volunteering. Our expectations of all PSLs:

  • Follower of Christ

  • Minimum aged 3rd grade (or granted permission if younger)

  • Complete PSL application process

  • Adhere to the DBKids Code of Conduct

  • Participate in Fall/Spring PSL meetings (every other week)

  • Volunteer at church, home, or in the community (for questions about what qualifies, ple

HOW DOES MY CHILD BECOME A PSL?

STEP 1:
Start with reading the PSL Handbook, it will give you more details about the program & requirements. Note that we can make scheduling accommodations based on extra-curricular actives, illness, etc…Just outreach to staff about your family circumstances.

STEP 2:
Complete the online OR paper application (turn-in to any DBKids staff)

STEP 3:
Our team will contact you to set-up a short meeting with you and your child, including taking a photo for his/her PSL volunteer badge.
